Information Technology Intern

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is offering a six-month Information Technology Internship in Mumbai for students interested in software development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and data engineering.

Interns may be assigned to one of four technical areas based on business requirements, skills, and overall suitability. You will work on real projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain practical exposure to modern technologies used in a global business environment.

Software Engineering Intern

This role focuses on developing applications and cloud-based solutions for P&G’s Data & Analytics Platform.

Responsibilities

Write and test code for data and analytics applications.

Help develop cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.

Learn Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams.

Prepare technical documentation.

Required Skills

Basic programming knowledge in Java and/or TypeScript.

Understanding of relational databases and SQL.

Problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills: Spring Framework, React, Azure, Python, Angular, Git, and CI/CD.

Platform Engineering Intern

This role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Help build and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.

Learn containerization and orchestration.

Assist with system monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery.

Required Skills

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Azure.

Basic scripting knowledge in Python and/or Bash.

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills: Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Prometheus, and Grafana.

AI Engineering Intern

This role focuses on supporting the reliability and performance of production AI and machine learning systems.

Responsibilities

Support production AI/ML systems to maintain reliability and availability.

Help create monitoring dashboards and alerts.

Automate routine operational tasks.

Develop and maintain automated tests.

Assist with production deployments and change management.

Required Skills

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Understanding of cloud computing, particularly Microsoft Azure.

Intermediate Python programming skills.

Strong problem-solving and English communication skills.

Preferred Skills: Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, GitHub, SonarQube, monitoring tools, and Pytest.

Data Science / Data Engineering Intern

This role involves using data to solve business problems, develop analytical solutions, and support decision-making.

Depending on your skills and business requirements, you may be assigned to Data Science or Data Engineering.

Responsibilities

Analyze large datasets and identify useful insights.

Help develop scalable data and analytics solutions.

Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams.

Data Engineering Tasks

Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows.

Work with structured and unstructured data.

Support data quality and data platform development.

Data Science Tasks

Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis.

Apply machine learning techniques.

Build and evaluate predictive or optimization models.

Required Skills
