Software Intern (AI)

DataCore is inviting applications for the Software Intern (AI) position at its Bangalore technical center of excellence. This is suitable for 2027 graduates and final-year students who are interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and software development.

Selected interns will work with experienced engineers on real-world AI projects, gaining practical experience in developing product features, internal tools, and software services using modern AI technologies.

Interns will not be restricted to a single project. They will get to work across different areas of DataCore’s AI initiatives, from AI-powered product features to internal tools used by engineering teams.

The role offers practical exposure to AI technologies in a production software environment while working alongside experienced engineers.

Roles & Responsibilites

• Work on multiple AI projects with mentors and other interns.
• Write, test, debug, document, and maintain software.
• Learn and use modern AI technologies during product development.
• Contribute to AI-powered product features and internal engineering tools.
• Present project outcomes and findings to the team.
• Follow professional standards and maintain work integrity.

Eligibility

• Must be a 2027 graduate or a final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student.
• Should be pursuing Computer Science Engineering, AI & ML, Data Science, or a related degree.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 7.0 or 70% marks.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and front-end development.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI APIs such as OpenAI is expected.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, including neural networks, deep learning, transformers, language models, embeddings, and model training or fine-tuning.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence and software development.
• Good problem-solving and algorithmic skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work with unfamiliar codebases.
• Self-motivation and the ability to complete assigned tasks independently.

Candidates with AI/ML projects, research experience, hackathon participation, competitive programming experience, or open-source contributions may have an added advantage.
