Software Engineer II

Mastercard is hiring for the Software Engineer II position at its Pune office. This opportunity is part of the company’s Launch programme, which helps early-career professionals develop their technical skills and gain practical experience by working with experienced engineering teams.

Selected candidates will get the chance to work on software development, web applications, data-driven solutions and modern technologies.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer II, you will work with Mastercard’s Platforms team to develop software solutions and web applications. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, solve technical problems and learn how to build scalable applications.

The Mastercard Launch programme runs for 18 months. During this period, participants work with a business unit, develop new skills and gain hands-on experience.

Depending on your interests, you may work in full-stack development, software infrastructure or frontend engineering.

Roles & Responsibilites

• Design and develop software applications using modern technologies.
• Work on algorithms, data structures and complex technical problems.
• Build web applications and scalable software solutions.
• Develop APIs and automate workflows.
• Work with large datasets and data-driven applications.
• Create responsive user interfaces and data visualisations.
• Collaborate with software engineers and other teams.
• Improve application performance, usability and overall quality.

Eligibility

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• A good understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Interest in solving real-world technical problems.
• Ability to work in collaborative teams.
• Creativity and willingness to learn new technologies.

Candidates interested in frontend development should also have an interest in user experience, frontend technologies and interface design.
